Media work in the Waddensea World Heritage with voluntary service workers

Project MediaWatt
(May 2020 - May 2021)

Außenfilmarbeiten-MediaWatt-Projekt-Molitor_20210715

With the project "MediaWatt", social media, radio and television contributions are created by people who are familiar with topics such as climate change, nature conservation and ecology around the Wadden Sea World Heritage! Here, volunteers from institutions and facilities are addressed, who work exactly on these topics!

Every week, our open MediaWatt editorial team meets in our MediaWatt editorial office in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Visitor Center to find topics and to plan. To become a MediaWatt editor, you don't need any previous experience and each participant receives individual training. There will be no costs for this.

MediaWatt editors will learn journalistic working methods such as research and interviewing, writing texts plus handling camera and recording technology in such a way that professional reports are produced. MediaWatt works together with the regional public broadcasters Radio Jade, Radio Weser.TV and Oldenburg Eins.

We will determine the content together. In this way, our readers, viewers and listeners will learn more about the effects of climate change in our region and what your institutions and facilities are dealing with - directly first hand!
